We love chocolate at The Lafayette House, but unfortunately chocolate does not feel the same about us. Trying to eliminate dairy, but keep chocolate frosting is easier than you think!
Just follow these few easy steps to make your own fudgey vegan chocolate frosting.
- 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate (melted)
- 1/3 cup almond milk
- 1/3 cup extra virgin coconut oil (softened)
- ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 ½ cups powdered sugar
Step 1 – Melt the chocolate chips.
Step 2 – Beat the melted chocolate with the coconut oil, vanilla and almond milk.
Step 3 – Add powdered sugar and beat until smooth.
Step 4 – Store in the fridge until ready to use. If using later, allow at least 15-20 minutes for the cooled frosting to warm back up to room temperature before using.
We love pairing this frosting recipe with our Vegan Peanut Butter Cookies for a fun Thanksgiving dessert.
