My husband is one of those extreme Star Wars guys. He has all the collectibles (not toys, collectibles). He’s even got the Rebel Alliance tattoo. So, needless to say, we are extremely excited for the new movie coming out today.
To get us excited, we decide to make some Star Wars cookies to snack on before the movie. Check out how to make these easy “Wookiee Cookies” in just a few minutes.
What you need:
- Batch of your favorite peanut butter cookies
- Cake Mate® Salted Caramel Dessert Spread
- Candy eyes
- Cake Mate® White Pearls
- Chocolate chips
- Small spatula or spoon
- Pair of clean tweezers
Step 1 – Warm up the Salted Caramel Dessert Spread just enough so it can be poured. Be careful not to overheat.
Step 2 – Starting in the middle of the cookie, drizzle the caramel onto the cookie with a spoon out to the edge of the cookie then back in to the center. Continue this motion as if you are creating a flower or snowflake shape onto the cookie.
Step 3 – Place two candy eyes onto the caramel.
Step 4 – Carefully place white pearls below the eyes creating a mouth shape. Use clean tweezers if you have an extra pair.
Step 5 – Melt the chocolate chips in a small bowl. Using a small spatula or spoon, spread a small amount of chocolate across the bottom of the cookie to the top right to create a belt.
Step 6 – Carefully place the white pearls onto the belt creating two rows.
That’s all! In just a few minutes you have these cute Chewbacca cookies to share with all your favorite Jedis. If you have any other Star Wars themed recipes, please share in the comments! We’d love to try them out.
May the force be with you…
