Spring is one of my favorite times to decorate our Bed & Breakfast. I love incorporating fresh flowers and live plants when possible. Sometimes though, you can’t use the real thing…so these little terra cotta flowerpots filled with fake flowers is the next best thing!
These decorations are so simple they can be made it minutes. You can even make it a fun activity for your little one.
What you need:
- Fake flowers
- Styrofoam balls
- Small to medium sized terra cotta pots
Step 1 – Cut the Styrofoam ball in half.
Step 2 – Cut the fake flowers in to 6” – 8” pieces creating a variety of flowers and greens.
Step 3 – Starting with the center, stick one stem into the flat side of the Styrofoam. Continue to stick flower stems into the Styrofoam until it fills out.
Step 4 – Place the flower bunch into the terra cotta pot.
Done! Create a few more using different sized terra cotta pots and you have spring decorations ready to be placed around the house.
These are even great for decorating a baby nursery! We use them in our daughter’s woodland themed nursery year round.
I love hearing about different terra cotta pot crafts. Have any must try spring themed flowerpot decorations, please share in the comments!
