These Halloween twig pumpkins can be made in just 5 minutes with just a few simple materials you can buy at your local craft store.
When buying decorating materials, I always like purchase things that can be used across multiple holidays. When I saw these twig roll ups (on sale, I might add) I knew they could be used for Halloween/Thanksgiving, Christmas, and even spring decorating. With just a little imagination I transformed them into cute seasonal decorations.
Follow the few simple steps below to make these easy twig pumpkins in just 5 minutes!
What you need:
- Twig rolls (you can find them at Michaels)
- Green Spanish moss
- Small twigs
Step 1 – Break the twigs into 4” – 6” bunches. Tie the twigs together to make the pumpkin stems.
Step 2 – Loosely unravel one of the twig roll ups. While unraveling one end, roll the other end back into a spiral creating a round, pumpkin shape.
Step 3 – Place the pumpkin stem into the top of the twig pumpkin shape. Drape two small pinches of the Spanish moss on each side of the pumpkin stem to create “leaves and vines.”
That’s it! In just a few minutes you created these natural, earthy fall pumpkin decorations ready to be placed.
Try using different sizes of the twig rolls to create different sized pumpkins. Or, if you really want a more “realistic” look, try spray painting the twig roll orange once you’ve formed the pumpkin shape.
